Before there was a club, there were crates. Feelz traces the Thiiird Place sound back to record shops in three different cities, a lot of wasted afternoons, and a rule he still keeps: if you can’t tell what a record sounds like from the cover, that’s usually the one worth buying.

“Digging teaches you to listen for the gap,” he says. “You’re not looking for the song everyone already knows. You’re looking for the two minutes inside a record that nobody plays out loud.” That instinct is exactly what shows up in every TPLC set.

Curating for a room instead of an algorithm changes everything about how a set gets built. There’s no skip button, no next-up queue optimizing for retention — just the read of the room, and a crate of records built specifically for the people standing in front of you.
