Setting the Room: Our Sound System Philosophy

Before a single record gets played, most of the work at a Thiiird Place session has already happened — in the sound system, the room treatment, and the layout of where people actually stand.

We’d rather run a smaller, well-tuned rig in the right room than a big system fighting bad acoustics. Every venue gets walked and measured beforehand, and the set is built around what that specific room can actually deliver.

It’s a lot of invisible work. But when the low end sits right and the vocals cut through without anyone reaching for the volume, nobody in the room has to think about it — they just feel it.
